The 10th edition of the KDIAF is currently playing host to Lida Fazli’s short animated piece in the animation category.
‘This Side, Other Side’ is made to convey the message that no border can limit friendship and love.
It shows some kids from the two sides of a borderline that make friends and play games with one another.
This amity between the kids enrages the adults and triggers them to start a war.
However, the kids continue to play with each other while the adults are fighting.
In early November 2020, ‘This Side, Other Side’ will go on screen at the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece, which is one of the oldest film festivals in Southeast Europe.
Just very recently, the animation won the UNICEF Award at the 30th Festival Biennial of Animation Bratislava in Slovakia.
The KDIAF provides animators a platform to screen and promote their works.
The event kicked off on October 27 and will wrap up on November 3, 2020.
